Tips For Buying A Used Car And Avoiding A Lemon
by: D Ruplinger
Do some homework before you start shopping for a used vehicle. Think about what your needs are, what your driving habits are, and what your budget is. You can learn about vehicle models, options, and prices by reading dealership ads in the newspaper as well as reading the classifieds.
There is also a host of information about used cars on the Internet. Enter the words USED CAR as keywords for searching and you will find information such as how to buy a used car, how to conduct a pre-purchase inspection, ads for cars available for sale, as well as other information.
Your local library and book stores are another source of good information. They have publications that compare car models, options, and costs; as well as offer information about frequency-of-repair records, safety tests, and mileage.
Once you’ve narrowed your car choices, research the frequency of repair and the maintenance costs on those models in auto-related consumer magazines. For information on recalls, contact The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Auto Safety Hotline at 1-800-424-9393.
Know Your Mini Moto
July 22, 2008
The Mini Moto is a small scale replica of the World Super Bikes used by the likes of Valentino Rossi and ex champion Carl Fogarty. The Mini Moto comes equipped with either a two stroke air or water cooled engine which are, depending on the model, capable of speeds of up to 60Mph.
In this article I will underline the finer points of the components that make these speeds possible.
The two Stroke Engine
The two stroke engine produces more hp per pound than the four stroke engine. The two stroke engine consists of three moving parts, the piston, the rod and the crank. The piston acts as valve that opens and closes the intake and exhaust ports that are located on the walls of the cylinder. Unlike the four stroke engine that fires only every other time of the pistons movement, the two stoke engine fires every time the piston reaches the top of its travel. This means that the time spent generating power is doubled in the two stroke engine than that of the four stroke engine, as there is no engine coasting during passive cycles. This is the main reason that the two stroke engine can rev more highly and produce more power (for its size) that the four stroke.

Is A Pre-Purchase Inspection Worth The Cost When Buying A Used Vehicle?
by: D Ruplinger
When people are doing research on how to buy a used vehicle, they often see information encouraging them to have an independent pre-purchase inspection done of the vehicle before purchasing it, but people may wonder whether or not it’s worth the money. It is almost always a good investment.
For around $100 you can typically get a general inspection of the mechanical condition of a vehicle. It is generally a good idea to have this done even if the vehicle has been certified and inspected by the dealer. Ask your regular car mechanic to do the inspection for you. If you don’t have a regular car mechanic ask family and friends for their recommendations. Or look for certified facilities.
There are also companies that specialize in pre-purchase inspections. Their services often include an estimate of what the vehicle is worth so you’ll know whether or not you’re being asked to pay too much money for the vehicle.

Choosing and purchasing a bike is no easy matter. You will be first entangled to lots of choice making it harder for you to choose. There are a lot of influences from persons close to you as well as from a pool of authority people. Each of them is offering a good bike but how are you to choose?
When I purchased my second bike, I was given a long-list of selection. From my own search diligence, I have read several reviews and road tests. In connection with my environment, vast advice kept on coming. Advises from my friends, acquaintances, co-workers, relatives and riders are overwhelming.
There are those who are solid to Harley Road King. For them, it is important that your bike’s tank has the Harley-Davidson’s stamped legacy. Others go for Suzuki while others are for Yamaha. There are those who are more on the performance aspect. They are considering a bike which can still comfort even during hard times. These bikes must also be powerful and well-defined.

Top 2 Reasons Why Auto Transport has Become Big Business. Fast.
by: Linda Harrison
Is it me or am I the only one who was oblivious to the auto transport industry before 5 years ago? It appears to me that there are auto transport companies popping up all over the US, seemingly overnight. Where was this industry 10 years ago. In fact, I only first heard the term ‘auto transport’ about 5 years ago. There are a few reasons for this phenomenon. Not surprisingly, this has to do with the internet. What most people don’t understand about the web is that it has spawned entire new cottage industries that just weren’t all that big a decade ago. The auto transport business is a prime example of an industry like that has been rapidly tranformed (or ‘put on steroids,’ as a lot of my more colorful friends would say) by the web. Here are the two reasons why auto transport has taken off.

The above web sites help you research the prices and give you an idea for how much your car is worth. Once you know the value of your car, you can place an ad in your local newspaper, or on the Internet. Some popular web sites that you can sell your car on are:
Make sure that you have the car cleaned and detailed by a detail shop. The $75 or $100 detailing can only help in bringing a higher value for your car.
If you don’t have the time and need to get rid of your car immediately you can trade it in and have the dealership offer you the wholesale price. Keep in mind that the dealer needs to perform any necessary cleaning or repairs on your used car before selling it at a profit.
