Shattered Front Lights on your Jeep? Get the Right Replacements at Auto Parts Deal
 by: Sarah McBride

The various forward lights on your Jeep are installed at its front end for a specific purpose: to make night and low visibility driving safer. First, those lights allow you to see the road ahead clearly at night and at other low visibility conditions. And while doing this, the lights also allow other people, especially drivers of vehicles approaching yours, to see your vehicle from afar.

As genuine off-road vehicles, however, Jeep vehicles were made for trekking the rough and rugged off-road track. Using the vehicle for off-roading, however, would only mean damages to the Jeep front lights. It is, therefore, not surprising if you just see the front lights of your Jeep shattered after an off-road ride. Good thing, there is an online auto parts supplier that can provide you with all the replacement lights you will need at the front area of your Jeep. That online auto parts supplier is Auto Parts Deal.

Engine Overheating—Not a Problem for Ford Radiators from Ford Parts Discount
 by: Jay Stevens

Ford radiators are designed to keep the engine of your Ford vehicle cool. However, the same components are being pointed as one of the major causes of engine overheating and car breakdown—that is, when the radiator has failed or malfunctioned. Ford radiators from Ford Parts Discount, however, are not bound to experience these problems, at least not years after it was bought and installed in your Ford.

The radiator is that component of your Ford’s engine cooling system whose main function is to dissipate the heat that the coolant has absorbed to the outside atmosphere. For this reason, the radiator is often installed just in front of your Ford’s grille, allowing it to make use of the air that passes through the vehicle’s grille insert.

Although its name would imply that it radiates heat, the radiator actually dissipates the coolant’s heat not by radiation but by convection. Hot after absorbing all the heat in the engine block, the coolant enters the radiator through the radiator’s upper hose. From there, the coolant trickles down or across the small tubes that makes up the radiator core. These tubes are attached to flat, metal pieces called fins that allow air from the grille to pass through the radiator. As the coolant passes through the small tubes, it transfers the heat it has absorbed to the blowing air from the grille.

Women and Motorcycles? You Bet!

April 27, 2008

To really understand the women and her ride, one needs to go back in history to explore the courageous women who defied the norm and road their horses in the freedom of the wind. Who could forget Joan of Arc or Annie Oakley. Two completely different women who followed their own council and fought for their right to ride in a man’s world. Or the women warlords who fought while on horseback and brandished their swords with the best of them. (and yes, women really did that) What man could resist such a women?

Women’s love affair with the motorcycle began with the bicycle back in the 1800’s. They became hugely popular with women. Susan B. Anthony once said, "A bicycle has done more for the emancipation of women more than any other thing in this world".

When the motorized bicycle was developed in the early 1900’s, it opened up a whole new realm of adventure for the high-spirited woman of the day. Many women took to the open road not on horseback, but on the iron horse. Adventurous women enjoyed many long distance rides. Some were skilled enough to do stunt riding. No mean feat, especially on the earlier bikes.

Make a Difference and Reap the Benefits of Your Car Donation
 by: Chris Robertson

When you contemplate buying a car (whether it’s previously owned or new), you’re faced with the decision of what to do with your old car. Often, trading it in means receiving only a fraction of its value. Selling it through an ad in the newspaper or online is a hassle. Not only do you have to pay for the advertisement, but you also have to endure questions from potential buyers and make yourself available to people who want to view the car or take it for a test drive. In addition, you assume financial risks, in that the buyer may present you with, for example, a fraudulent check.

Increasingly, car owners are choosing to donate their older cars to charity. The process involved in a car donation is straightforward, and gives the car owner the satisfaction of knowing that they are helping those in need. Often, the tax benefit afforded the car owner as the result of an auto donation exceeds the benefit of the outright sale of the vehicle.

How To Lower Your Car Insurance Costs Once And For All!
 by: Dr. Drew Henry

With fuel costs escalating out of control these days, car running costs are becoming a serious burden for the average family, especially families with more than one car. Because of this reason more and more people are looking for ways to control the costs associated with their family transport.

One such cost is the cost of car insurance. Below are 7 tips for lowering your car insurance costs:

The Ins And Outs Of Auto Insurance
 by: Dr. Drew Henry

Bodily Injury Liability, Collision, Comprehensive, Property Injury Liability. Do you know what these terms mean? If you are currently paying for any type of auto insurance, then these are some terms you should know to maximize the benefits of your plan(s).

Bodily Injury Liability. If you were at fault in an accident and others involved needed to go to the hospital and/or lost wages from missing work, those costs would come out of your pocket if you are not insured with Bodily Injury Liability. Anyone will soon realize how quickly those amounts can add up to. Many states require you to carry Bodily Injury Liability. This type of coverage can also help you in the event the other party takes legal action against you.

Collision Coverage. In the event you need repairs or replacements if your vehicle collides with another vehicle or property, you’ll need this. The higher the deductible you elect, the lower your premiums will cost you. If you’re at fault for something, well of course it would still be an accident, as I doubt you’d plan to run into that guard rail, but how much would you be able to afford to pay out of pocket for repairs? Don’t forget to check if this coverage is available in your plan!
