Is A Pre-Purchase Inspection Worth The Cost When Buying A Used Vehicle?
by: D Ruplinger
When people are doing research on how to buy a used vehicle, they often see information encouraging them to have an independent pre-purchase inspection done of the vehicle before purchasing it, but people may wonder whether or not it’s worth the money. It is almost always a good investment.
For around $100 you can typically get a general inspection of the mechanical condition of a vehicle. It is generally a good idea to have this done even if the vehicle has been certified and inspected by the dealer. Ask your regular car mechanic to do the inspection for you. If you don’t have a regular car mechanic ask family and friends for their recommendations. Or look for certified facilities.
There are also companies that specialize in pre-purchase inspections. Their services often include an estimate of what the vehicle is worth so you’ll know whether or not you’re being asked to pay too much money for the vehicle.

Everyday we are feasting our eyes on different types of motorcycles - big, small, vintage, modern, classic and flashy.
Actually, there are three basic categories of street motorcycles - touring, cruisers and sports bikes. However, modern design can incorporate some of the qualities of the other category. Nonetheless, let us stick with the basics and discuss them one by one.
Touring motorcycles are so-named because of their equipments that are primarily designed to withstand long rides. Riders will feel comfortable even when on a protracted ride. Usually, touring bikes have hard-shell trunks on either side of the fender, windshields, full fairings, in-dash audio equipment (sometimes include GPS) and a dashboard. They also have high rounded back with armrest so that the riders will be at ease while riding. Examples of this category are Harley-Davidson’s Road King and Honda’s Gold Wing.
Cruisers and choppers on the other hand, are not that heavy as compared to touring bikes. They are sleek, beautiful, captivating and are closely related with the legendary cruisers and customized choppers. In addition, they are somewhat perceived as cool and trendy. Choppers use a frame with a front fork extended and raked beyond the standard stock cruiser. As we can observe choppers are hot once again. They are enjoying the ongoing paranoia and hype. In fact, there are featured customized cruisers and choppers that are gaining its media exposure and success.

Trepidation in Choosing a BIKE
by: Maricon Williams
Choosing and purchasing a bike is no easy matter. You will be first entangled to lots of choice making it harder for you to choose. There are a lot of influences from persons close to you as well as from a pool of authority people. Each of them is offering a good bike but how are you to choose?
When I purchased my second bike, I was given a long-list of selection. From my own search diligence, I have read several reviews and road tests. In connection with my environment, vast advice kept on coming. Advises from my friends, acquaintances, co-workers, relatives and riders are overwhelming.
There are those who are solid to Harley Road King. For them, it is important that your bike’s tank has the Harley-Davidson’s stamped legacy. Others go for Suzuki while others are for Yamaha. There are those who are more on the performance aspect. They are considering a bike which can still comfort even during hard times. These bikes must also be powerful and well-defined.

Top 2 Reasons Why Auto Transport has Become Big Business. Fast.
by: Linda Harrison
Is it me or am I the only one who was oblivious to the auto transport industry before 5 years ago? It appears to me that there are auto transport companies popping up all over the US, seemingly overnight. Where was this industry 10 years ago. In fact, I only first heard the term ‘auto transport’ about 5 years ago. There are a few reasons for this phenomenon. Not surprisingly, this has to do with the internet. What most people don’t understand about the web is that it has spawned entire new cottage industries that just weren’t all that big a decade ago. The auto transport business is a prime example of an industry like that has been rapidly tranformed (or ‘put on steroids,’ as a lot of my more colorful friends would say) by the web. Here are the two reasons why auto transport has taken off.

You can keep it, sell it or trade it in. You will receive the best price for your car if you sell it yourself, but it requires a lot of work on your part. You can visit the following web sites for some help.
The above web sites help you research the prices and give you an idea for how much your car is worth. Once you know the value of your car, you can place an ad in your local newspaper, or on the Internet. Some popular web sites that you can sell your car on are:
Make sure that you have the car cleaned and detailed by a detail shop. The $75 or $100 detailing can only help in bringing a higher value for your car.
If you don’t have the time and need to get rid of your car immediately you can trade it in and have the dealership offer you the wholesale price. Keep in mind that the dealer needs to perform any necessary cleaning or repairs on your used car before selling it at a profit.

Tips On Tires
by: Ali Moazami
Tire safety is very important. Here are some regular checks that you can perform on your tires to insure your safety:
Lumps or swelling. Any lumps or swelling that appears on the sidewall are signs of tire weakness. If not attended to, it can lead to tire blow out.
Irregular tread wear must be checked out immediately. One of the best ways to check your tread depth is to do a “Penny Test”. Stick a penny into a tire groove by turning it upside down. If you can see the top of Lincoln’s head, it’s time to get new tires. You might want to check several tire grooves to determine whether one part of the tire is wearing faster than another. Inspect the sidewalls for any bulges, that indicate internal problems. Also, if you see any wires anywhere, it’s not safe to drive, as the tire might explode at any moment.
Sidewall fractures.
Tires should be rotated every 6,000 miles.
Balance your tires regularly.
Buy and install tires in sets.
Keep the steering and suspension aligned properly.
